For the second year, Bostik will sponsor Artaic Innovative Mosaic’s Design ‘n Gather Mosaic Tile Design Competition in Las Vegas, May 4, 2017.
Slated to outshine last year’s popular event, the 2017 competition challenges forward-thinking architects, designers and mosaic design enthusiasts to create a “beyond the threshold of imagination” backlit tile mosaic mural that captures the highly photographed and widely publicized “Selfie Studio”.
“Based on the outstanding success of last year’s event, Bostik, Artaic and MGM International are now partnering even more closely, taking Design ‘N Gather to an even higher, global level,” said Scott Banda, Bostik’s Director of Marketing and Business Development.
All designs must be created using Tylist™, Artaic’s patented mosaic design software, and the company’s newly updated and expanded 3/8” vitreous glass tile materials, consisting of over 140 vibrant colors.
Once the winning design is announced, it will be recreated in Boston using Artaic’s robotic manufacturing technology and Bostik’s Dimension® RapidCure™ Glass-Filled Grout. This product is comprised of 60% recycled glass that allows light to pass through the grout joint and further illuminate adjacent tiles. It also adds an elegant sparkle and can blend naturally with traditional tile and stone, creating a 3D effect within clear glass tile installations.
The chosen mural will then be permanently installed at the “Height of Decadence” Hyde Bellagio nightclub.
