How FPA110-1FR Stands Out in the Aerospace Market

According to Aerospace Manufacturing and Design, the commercial aircraft interior market is expected to be worth $17 billion by 2019. This growth is fueled in large part by:

Additionally, unlike traditional liquid adhesives, Bostik’s heat activated FPA 110-1FR allows for precious application and even adjustment/repositioning as required. This aspect is very valuable in certain applications, as it allows manufacturers to know exactly how much adhesive is needed and predict usage.

FPA 110-1FR has the ability to be customized to meet customers’ needs. For example, Bostik can adjust the web width or film thickness to ensure it fits customer specifications.

Adhering Capabilities

FPA 110-1FR has the ability to adhere to a range of substrates, such as:

  • Vinyl
  • Aluminum

  • Phenolic prepregs
  • Certain fabrics

Additionally, this aircraft interior adhesive product can be pre-applied and then bonded with heat activation and pressure.

FPA 110-F1R also has additional flame retardant capabilities, which increase occupant safety in the event of an emergency.

Successful Testing

FPA 110-1FR passed Boeing specification BMS 5-158 Type II. This means the product has been approved for internal consumption and used by Boeing’s suppliers.

Passing these rigorous specifications sets Bostik’s FPA 110-1FR apart in the market. Additionally,  it has passed tests for general processability as well.
